JOB TITLE: Academic Learning Support & Professional Development Coordinator

The Academic Learning Support will administer and coordinate the administrative and general office tasks related to student support services (SSS) and student academic intervention (SAI). The Professional Development Coordinator will serve to identify professional development resources, develop a catalog of training opportunities, maintain processes, track compliance hours, and assist faculty in aligning with professional goals.

Documentation: Prepare and process various documents related to student support services including Region 10 annual reporting, inventory, administrative agreements, student requests for Title funding, low-income reporting, and student eligibility reporting. Retrieving, submitting, documenting, scheduling, and reporting educational evaluation data to various service providers, educators, agencies, and families. Types reports for students’ academic intervention plans for classroom instructional accommodations.
Record Maintenance: Keep accurate records of student progress, scorecard data, and attendance. Maintain SAI evaluation reports, accommodation reporting, SAI plans and related documents. Track updates to accommodations, input, upload, maintain student data in FACTS, and generate needed reporting documents. Prepare accommodation records for requested providers and testing agencies.
Correspondence: Handle communication related to learning support, including emails, assessment forms, and letters. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other required documents.
Administrative Support

- Efficient Record-Keeping: Timely and accurate maintenance of student records.

- Positive Experience Working Relationships with all stakeholders: To ensure students, parents, and faculty members feel supported and informed.
- Serves as the campus professional development coordinator. Monitors, supervises and organizes professional development sessions for all faculty. Collaborate with Leadership to develop individual professional development plans for each faculty member and ensure compliance.
- Complies with department and school policies and procedures.
- Establishes S.M.A.R.T. goals for work responsibilities.

- Proficient working knowledge and functioning skills in learning differences / disabilities are strongly preferred.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to manage paperwork efficiently and accurately in a timely manner.
- Proficient in keyboarding/typing skills, Microsoft Office, Google platforms, and video conferencing systems (TEAMS, Google Meet, Zoom, and video screening)
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in reporting, sharing information, and record- keeping.
- Communication: Clear and professional communication with students, families, employees, organizations, and support providers.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Normal physical activity includes some bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying, which may range up to 35 lbs. upon occasion.
- Typing for extended periods.
